Chairman of the Shura Council Dr. Ahmed Obaid bin Daghr, accompanied by his deputy Dr. Abdullah Abu al-Ghaith, arrived in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, Thursday to participate in the proceedings of the eighth conference of the Arab Parliament and Speakers of Arab Councils and Parliaments, scheduled to be held next Saturday at the headquarters of the League of Arab States.

PM discuss army's streak of gains in phone call with Chief of Staff

Prime Minister Ahmed Obeid bin-Daghr made a phone call to the Chief of Staff Maj. General Mohammed A. al-Maqdashi in which they discussed the streak of gains the military has achieved in Marib and Nehm of late.

The Premier was acquainted about the latest developments in Nehm district, a gateway to the militia-held capital city, Sana'a.

Bin-Daghr applauded the military's championships that come in the battlefield with sacrifices in blood and souls toward the noble aim of restoring the state back from hijackers- the Saleh-Houthi militia.

The premier instructed the Chief of Staff to ensure a deployment of forces along the desert highway of Al-Abr-Sayoon-Marib to clamp down on high-way robbery, a crime that increased of late. Robbers lurk for passengers to rob them of their possessions.

The premier has also issued a direction to the Ministry of Public Works to renovate the said highway which has fallen into a state of disrepair due to the fact that6 it's been lacking maintenance for long.
