Madrid (Saba)- Yemen Ambassador to Madrid Nabeel Maisri has called the Spanish government to put Yemen amongst its list of priority states for 2017-2020 plan.
Maisri also called Spanish officials to double contributions to Yemen through various local, international and European mechanisms and facilitate the Yemeni embassy's moves to all non-government organizations across all Spanish regions.
This came during a meeting held here on Tuesday with the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation's Humanitarian Adid Agency Afael De Prado.
The ambassador spoke about Yemen's deteriorating humanitarian situation caused by the coup conducted by the Houthi-Saleh, pointing out that Yemen is witnessing famine, according to the UN reports.
De Prado, for his part, affirmed that Spain is keen to provide assistances to Yemen to avoid any humanitarian disasters, asserting that it is aware of the critical crises Yemen is currently witnessing.
