Parliament Speaker Praises Kuwait’s Support for Yemen

Parliament Speaker Sheikh Sultan al-Barakani has praised the historic and fraternal relations between Yemen and Kuwait.

He commended Kuwait’s longstanding humanitarian and development support in education, healthcare and other vital sectors.

During a meeting with Kuwait’s Ambassador to Yemen Falah al-Mutairi, al-Barakani highlighted the ongoing Houthi escalation and violations against civilians, particularly the repeated shelling and siege on Taiz.

He praised the city’s resilience and condemned Houthi attacks against Saudi Arabia, stressing that the Kingdom’s security and stability are essential to Yemen and the wider Arab region.

For his part, the Kuwaiti ambassador reaffirmed Kuwait’s firm support for Yemen’s legitimate government and its people, pledging continued humanitarian and relief assistance and further cooperation to ease civilian suffering and promote peace and stability.
