Taiz Governor Nabil Shamsan affirmed that Taiz will remain steadfast and will not allow the return of sectarian ideology, external tutelage, or any attempt to undermine its security, dignity and stability, stressing that the province’s security is a red line and that the sacrifices of its people are national principles that cannot be compromised.

Speaking at a meeting with sheikhs, community leaders and social figures from Al-Hujariya districts, Shamsan called for strengthening national cohesion and uniting the internal front in confronting the Houthi militia.

He praised the Armed Forces units deployed along the Taiz and Tur Al-Baha fronts, as well as the Giants Brigades, backed by popular resistance forces, for repelling simultaneous Houthi infiltration attempts aimed at reaching positions near the vital road linking Taiz with Aden and Lahj.

The governor was briefed on preparations to reinforce the front lines and strengthen internal unity. He also thanked President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, for efforts to unify the military ranks and bring various formations under a joint operations room supervised by the Ministry of Defense.

Shamsan also commended Saudi Arabia’s continued support for the Yemeni people and their efforts to restore the state.

He highlighted Taiz’s historic role in preserving the state, describing the province as a model of resistance and coexistence and a strategic reservoir of national cadres. He stressed that Taiz would remain a stronghold of resilience and would not allow internal divisions to create openings for its adversaries.

For their part, Al-Hujariya sheikhs and community leaders reaffirmed their full support for the local authority and state institutions and their readiness to continue making sacrifices to strengthen security and stability and complete the liberation of the province.
