Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi signed today, Tuesday, an agreement with Solidarities International to implement a project aimed at improving health and boosting resilience for the most vulnerable groups in the districts of Hays, Mawza, al-Mokha, and al-Khokha, with a total cost of 1,205,000 euros, over a period of 12 months.

Minister of Water and Environment Eng. Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi signed today, Tuesday, an agreement with Solidarities International to implement a project aimed at improving health and boosting resilience for the most vulnerable groups in the districts of Hays, Mawza, al-Mokha, and al-Khokha, with a total cost of 1,205,000 euros, over a period of 12 months.

The project, funded by the European Commission for Humanitarian Aid (ECHO), comes as part of efforts to boost water and sanitation services and improve living conditions for residents and displaced people in the targeted areas.

As many as 55,634 people, including displaced individuals, the most vulnerable groups, and host communities, are expected to benefit from this project.

The project is intended to carry out a package of integrated interventions in the fields of water, environmental sanitation, health and nutrition.

It includes rehabilitating four water supply systems and nine health facilities and centers, building toilets and providing hygiene supplies, as well as training water and sanitation committees and strengthening their capacity to manage and maintain the services.
