Riyadh (Saba) – Japan has given Yemen a grant of $2 million for addressing consequences of draught and funding sanitation projects.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Japanese government said that the grant came as a response to a call of the UN Security Council to help Yemen in the fields of addressing draught and sanitation projects.
The statement cited that Japan previously given Yemen a grant of $56 million during 2017, reaffirming that the Japanese grant amounted to $58 million in 2017.
The statement reiterated that Japan will continue its efforts to alleviate the suffering the Yemeni people which suffer of a dire humanitarian situation.
