National Coalition of Political Parties Salutes Armed Forces, Calls for Comprehensive Military Action Against Houthis

ADEN-SABA

The National Coalition of Political Parties and Political Components has praised the bravery, resilience and sacrifices of the armed forces, the National Resistance and the Yemeni people in defending the republican system against the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militia.

In a statement received by Saba, the coalition called on Yemenis to rally behind the armed forces and the National Resistance in defence of the Yemeni republic and the unity and territorial integrity of the country. It also urged families whose sons have been drawn into Houthi ranks to pull them out of a battle that serves only the Iranian project and Houthi terrorism.

The statement stressed the need to order a genuine and comprehensive military operation across all fronts simultaneously, leaving the Houthi militia unable to choose the time or place of any battle.

It also called for coordination with the leadership of the Arab Coalition to support efforts to end the Houthi rebellion, terminate its control over state institutions and restore those institutions to the authority of the legitimate government.

The coalition commended Saudi Arabia for its continued support for Yemen's legitimate government in confronting the Houthi rebellion and for helping state institutions remain resilient and continue carrying out their duties.

It renewed its call on the international community to support the legitimate government and implement UN Security Council Resolution 2216, stressing that treating the Houthis as a political party entrenches an illegitimate reality and prolongs the threat to Yemen and international maritime security in the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
