The Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to the People's Republic of China Dr. Mohammed a-Maitami confirmed that Yemeni-Chinese relations are robust and constructive, saying that both countries are keen to further boost bilateral cooperation in different fields to serve the mutual interests .

He made his statement during his contribution to a diplomatic event organized by the Beijing municipal government, represented by the Foreign Affairs Office, in cooperation with the Beijing Health Committee and the Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

A number Ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to China engaged in the discussion.
Al-Maitami celebrated the robust Yemeni-Chinese relationship, emphasizing that Yemeni-Chinese relations are based on a historical foundation of friendship and mutual respect.

He pointed out that this year holds special significance as the Republic of Yemen and the People's Republic of China celebrate the 70th Anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries.

"We're looking forward to build on what has been achieved over the past seven decades and to open up broader horizons for cooperation in various areas", al-Maitami remarked.
