The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre’s (KSrelief) Masam Project for Landmine Clearance in Yemen removed 1,836 mines and explosive devices planted by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia across several Yemeni provinces during the third week of August.

According to a KSrelief statement, the items cleared included 13 anti-personnel mines, 25 anti-tank mines, 1,792 unexploded ordnance items and six improvised explosive devices.

The latest clearance operations brought the total number of mines and explosive devices removed since the beginning of August to 9,280, while the overall number cleared by the Masam Project since its launch has reached 648,386.

The project continues to clear mines planted indiscriminately across Yemen, which pose a deadly threat to civilians, particularly children, women and the elderly.

Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian arm KSrelief, continues to support efforts to clear Yemeni territory of mines under the Masam Project, contributing to civilian safety and helping Yemenis live in safer and more dignified conditions.
