The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms has recorded 58,904 civilian deaths and injuries attributed to the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militia between January 2015 and the first half of 2026.

According to a report received by Saba, the documented toll includes 15,478 civilians killed, among them 1,216 women and 943 children, while 35,654 others were wounded, including 6,348 women and 4,283 children.

The network said its field teams separately documented 1,637 civilians killed by mines planted by the Houthis in populated areas, villages, farms and roads. The victims included 213 children and 198 women.

Houthi mines also injured 6,135 civilians, including 741 children and 362 women, while more than 798 people suffered permanent disabilities, including approximately 397 children.

The network said the figures demonstrate the severe and lasting human cost of the war on Yemen’s civilian population, with landmines continuing to pose a deadly threat, restrict movement and prevent displaced and affected communities from safely returning to their homes.

It urged the UN, the international community and influential states to move beyond statements of condemnation and concern and take concrete measures to hold the Houthis to their obligations under international humanitarian and human rights law, while ensuring the protection of civilians and preventing the militarization of residential areas and civilian facilities.
