Geneva (Saba)-
Deputy Minister of Human Rights Dr. Mohammed Askar met on Friday in Geneva with ambassadors of the GCC States to the United Nations on the sidelines of the 34th session of the Human Rights Council.
Askar said that the GCC states, particularly Saudi Arabia, adopted the GCC-brokered initiative to save Yemen from plunging into a spiral of violence.
He said that Iran had been intervening in the region for 30 years, pointing out that the Decisive Storm carried out by the Saudi-led Arab Coalition undermined its dreams.
He further cited that the Houthis started to use the cards of al-Qaeda and ISIS to destabilize Aden, Hadhramout and other liberated cities of Yemen when they realized that they are being defeated.
