Vice President Ali Mohsin Saleh contacted on Friday Governor of Marib Sultan al-Eradah and Commander of the Third Military Region Maj. Gen. Ahmed Jubran, and was briefed on updates of the terrorist act which targeted worshippers in Marib.
More than 20 worshippers were killed and scores others were wounded as militias of the Houthis and Saleh targeted a mosque in Marib.
Vice President extended condolences to the families of the martyrs, expressing hope for a speedy recovery of the wounded.
He spelt out that this terrorist crime exposed the real face of the putschists, indicating that they first bombed the mosque and then targeted people who tried to take them to hospital.
Saleh said such act confirms that militias of the Houthis and Saleh are connected with terrorism and extremism groups.
He directed the competent authorities to take needed measures to secure populated neighborhoods and mosques, and care for the wounded persons.
Saleh also demanded the international community to condemn such terrorist acts committed by militias of the Houthis and Saleh against civilians in Yemen.
