The Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Poland Dr. Mervat Mujalli met today with the head of the Middle East, North Africa and Latin America Department at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maciej Kaukowski.

They talked about the latest developments in Yemen and the Red Sea, and the threats posed by the Iranian regime backed Houthi terrorist militias.

The conversations covered Houthi attacks on civilians and army camps in the Marib and Hadramout governorates, camps for internally displaced people in Marib and the port of al-Mokha and the city of al-Khokha in the Taiz and Hodeida governorates.

They also touched on the militias' assaults on international shipping routes in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait, which directly affect global energy supplies.

The two sides confirmed that the Houthi threat is no longer just a regional danger confined to the Middle East, but has become an international security threat that requires a firmer and more coordinated stance from the international community.

Ambassador Mujalli underscored the need to designate the Houthi militias as a terrorist group within the European Union and to put its leaders, financiers, and supporters on the sanctions lists.
