Yemeni Ambassador to Indonesia Salem Balfqaih met Monday with West Java Deputy Governor Erwan Setiawan to explore ways to deepen ties between Yemen and the Indonesian province.

Their talks covered trade, business links, education, culture and tourism, with particular attention to opening West Java markets to Yemeni products and creating stronger links between Yemeni and Indonesian businesses.

The two officials also looked at expanding university partnerships, scholarships and academic exchanges, as well as cultural cooperation with Bandung and opportunities in tourism.

They agreed to keep up coordination and work on turning these opportunities into concrete initiatives that benefit both countries and their peoples.
