ADEN - SABA
Minister of Transport Mohsen al-Amri said "The terrorist bombing by the Iranian regime-allied Houthi militias on al-Mokha Port in Taiz governorate resulted in three deaths and several injuries among the workers".
In a statement to the Yemen News Agency (Saba), he added" The terrorist militias targeted the seaport by dozens of ballistic missiles and drones affected civilian and economic sites and facilities in the port.
The attack caused significant damage to the infrastructure and facilities that had been rehabilitated over the past period, al-Amri noted.
The Minister reported that the bombing was intense and affected various parts of the port and its economic and civilian facilities, including economic areas, employee housing, the private hangar, private fuel stations, and the port's facilities and tanks, as well as the homes of the port administration staff, in a systematic targeting that hit everything related to the port's economic and service activity.
The port was subjected to no less than 25 strikes by missiles and drones, noting that the bombing caused extensive destruction and damage to the economic side of the port and affected many facilities and installations that had been rehabilitated and set up in the recent period, according to al-Amri .
The Minister of Transport confirmed that this terrorist attack clearly shows that the Houthi militias are not targeting a military facility, but rather a vital civilian and economic facility that serves citizens and facilitates trade and supply flows, in a systematic attempt to disrupt economic activity, enforce a blockade, starve Yemenis, and deepen their humanitarian suffering.
He called on the international community and relevant international organizations to take a clear and firm stance against the practices of the Houthi militia that threaten civilian lives, obstruct aid delivery, and worsen the humanitarian and economic conditions in Yemen.
