Yemen's Ambassador to Japan Adel al-Sunaini met with Director General of the Middle East and Europe Department at the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Tanaka Kotaro to discuss expanding technical and economic cooperation in support of the Yemeni government's recovery and reconstruction priorities.

Ambassador al-Sunaini highlighted Yemen's economic and development needs and reaffirmed the government's interest in benefiting from Japan's expertise in reconstruction and priority development projects. He also praised Japan's continued support for Yemen in food security, education, healthcare, and capacity building.

The two sides reviewed JICA's ongoing programs in Yemen, including the agency's recent mission to Aden, while JICA officials reaffirmed Japan's commitment to continuing and expanding its support for Yemen.
