The Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Turkey Mohammed Tareiq discussed today, Saturday, with the head of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), Abdullah Arın underway preparations for the Yemen-Turkey Forum, scheduled to take place on August 8 in Ankara, under the theme "Paths of History and Prospects for a Shared Future."
The talks focused on the forum's goals and themes, as well as its role in highlighting the deep historical ties between the two countries and exploring new opportunities for joint cooperation in economic, developmental, cultural and humanitarian fields.
They also discussed the development and humanitarian projects implemented by the TIKA Agency in Yemen, and its contributions to supporting several vital sectors and alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people.
Ambassador Tariq expressed his appreciation for the developmental and humanitarian role the agency plays, praising its interventions and supportive projects.
Tareiq also discussed with the Head of the European Union and Foreign Relations Department Dr. Gozde Sahinen aspects of Yemeni-Turkish cultural cooperation.
The conversations covered initiatives and programs that could be discussed the framework of the Yemeni-Turkish forum.
