ADEN-SABA
Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Mukhtar al-Yafae stressed the importance of strengthening the Social Fund for Development as an effective national institution, preserving its independence, reinforcing governance, transparency and institutional stability, and expanding its development impact across all governorates.
Opening a preparatory workshop in the interim capital, Aden, to shape the fund's future direction and develop its strategic vision, al-Yafae said the next phase requires a shift from emergency response to recovery and development, transforming need into empowerment and assistance into opportunities for productivity and stability.
He said the workshop reflects a national recognition of the need for a renewed vision and realistic planning capable of addressing current challenges, reprioritizing development efforts, and creating more sustainable and mature pathways for development.
Acting Executive Director of the Social Fund for Development Mohammed Alban said the new strategic vision would provide a foundation for sustaining and advancing the fund's work in line with the country's evolving needs.
