Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qasem Buhaybeh conferred today, via video call, with the Italian Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Carlo Baldocci over bilateral cooperation in health sector.
Dr. Buhaybeh celebrated Yemeni-Italian cooperation in health sector, as Italy took the lead in dispatching Italian doctors to offer the medical services in Yemen.
He highlighted the pressing need amid current difficult circumstances for active Italian cooperation in health sector to help improving health care and services.
"We're looking forward to a greater Italian role in sustaining the government's efforts aimed to develop health facilities and improve health care and medical services", the minister said
The Italian Ambassador stated that his country is interested in supporting Yemen, particularly in health sector.
He said "The Italian government is interested in promoting cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Health to help improving health services".
