The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs welcomed the joint statement issued at the quadrilateral consultative meeting of the foreign ministers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Republic of Turkey, held in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, which confirmed the four countries’ firm support for the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) and the Yemeni government.

Yemen’s Chargé d’Affaires in Nairobi Discusses Training, Capacity-Building Partnership with Kenyan Official

Yemen’s Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy in Nairobi Abdul Salam al-Awadhi discussed Wednesday with the Acting Director General of the Kenya Foreign Service Academy Ambassador Patrick Wamatho bilateral relations and ways to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting focused on enhancing collaboration and establishing an institutional partnership between the Yemeni Diplomatic Institute and the Kenya Foreign Service Academy to develop training and capacity-building programs, while benefiting from Kenya’s expertise in the professional development of diplomatic personnel.

The two sides praised the longstanding historical ties between Yemen and Kenya and emphasized the importance of elevating bilateral relations across political and institutional fields.

For his part, Ambassador Patrick Wamatho reaffirmed the depth of relations between the two countries and expressed his aspiration to further develop and strengthen cooperation with Yemen across various sectors.
