French Ambassador to Yemen Catherine Corm-Kammoun conducted a field visit on Sunday to a number of public service and development facilities in Mukalla to gain firsthand insight into their operations and development needs.
Accompanied by Hadramout Deputy Governor for Women's Affairs Abeer al-Hadrami and Deputy Governor for Technical Affairs Eng. Zaher al-Kathiri, the ambassador toured Mukalla Maternity and Childhood Hospital, where she was briefed on the medical services provided and the challenges affecting its performance.
Discussions focused on the hospital's priority needs, including infrastructure improvements and upgraded medical equipment aimed at strengthening maternal and child healthcare and raising the standard of health services.
The ambassador's tour also included Mukalla Creek, where local officials outlined proposed engineering and environmental measures to address the challenges facing the area.
