The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Afrah al-Zouba stated that the Yemeni state undertakes its constitutional and sovereign responsibility to protect its citizens, lands, coasts, ports and territorial waters, and that enabling its institutions to carry out this responsibility is a key element for the security of Bab al-Mandeb, the Red Sea and international navigation and trade.

Presidential Leadership Council Member Lt. Gen. Mahmoud al-Subaihi emphasized the vital role of the House of Representatives in reinforcing institutional governance and supporting efforts to rebuild state institutions through effective legislation and parliamentary oversight.

During a meeting on Saturday with Speaker of the House of Representatives Sheikh Sultan al-Barakani, the two officials exchanged views on the latest political, economic, and service-related developments, as well as regional developments and the challenges confronting the country.

The discussions also covered the continued escalation by the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militia and its repercussions for Yemen's security and stability, along with ways to strengthen government measures aimed at improving the security situation and restoring normal conditions.
