Interior Minister Maj. Gen. Ibrahim Haidan and Japanese Ambassador to Yemen Yoichi Nakashima discussed ways to deepen security cooperation and support Yemen’s stability.

Haidan highlighted the importance of expanding Japanese support in forensic expertise, training, capacity building, and strengthening the Coast Guard’s role in protecting territorial waters and combating smuggling and organized crime.

Nakashima reaffirmed Japan’s continued support for Yemen and its efforts to enhance cooperation with the Interior Ministry in areas that serve shared security interests.
