Saba Region University Seeks Stronger Academic Partnerships with Jordanian Institutions

Vice President for Student Affairs at Saba Region University Dr. Ali Saif Al-Rammal met with Jordanian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Azmi Mahafzah to discuss ways of expanding academic and scientific cooperation between the university and Jordanian higher education institutions.

The talks focused on strengthening institutional partnerships and leveraging opportunities available under existing cooperation agreements between the higher education ministries of Yemen and Jordan.

During the meeting, Al-Rammal highlighted the university's academic and institutional achievements, outlining its development programs and the progress it has made within a relatively short period. He also presented the university's vision for enhancing educational quality, advancing scientific research, broadening its academic reach, and building strategic partnerships with Arab universities, particularly in Jordan.

Al-Rammal briefed the minister on the outcomes of a series of visits to leading Jordanian academic and training institutions, including the Higher Education Accreditation Commission and Quality Assurance Agency, Al-Balqa Applied University, the National Institute for Training and Trainer Qualification, and Applied Science Private University. The visits explored opportunities for collaboration in academic development, quality assurance, training, and research.

For his part, Mahafzah reaffirmed the strength of academic ties between higher education institutions in Yemen and Jordan and expressed his ministry's commitment to further expanding cooperation. He commended Saba Region University for the progress it has achieved over the past decade, describing it as a respected academic institution that has established a strong reputation in a relatively short time.
