Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Member and Hadramout Governor Salem Ahmed Khanbashi has called for stronger cooperation with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) to support the governorate's development priorities and improve essential services for residents.
During a meeting on Thursday with UNOPS Yemen Program Manager Engineer Fayyad Rasoul and his accompanying delegation, Khanbashi praised the organization's ongoing interventions in Hadramout, describing them as an important contribution to improving service delivery and supporting local development efforts.
Discussions focused on a range of priority projects and urgent needs across key sectors, including healthcare, electricity, water, sanitation, roads and municipal services.
The two sides also reviewed ways to strengthen coordination among local authorities, government institutions and international partners to ensure efficient implementation and sustainable outcomes.
Khanbashi stressed the importance of directing support toward projects that address the governorate's most pressing service and infrastructure needs, noting that effective partnerships with international organizations play a vital role in accelerating development and improving living conditions.
