Yemen participated in the activities of the Second Arab-Greek Health Conference, hosted by the Greek capital, Athens, with a delegation headed by the Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qasim Buhaibeh.
The conference serves as a platform for strengthening dialogue, exchanging expertise, and exploring opportunities for medical cooperation between Arab countries and Greece, contributing to the development of healthcare systems and supporting training and capacity-building programs.
On the sidelines of the conference, the Minister of Health discussed with a number of government officials, private sector representatives and international partners ways to enhance cooperation in the health sector and explore partnership opportunities in areas including the localization of the pharmaceutical industry, medical and specialized training, exchange of expertise and health security.
During the meetings, Minister Buhaibeh stressed the importance of continued coordination to broaden the prospects of cooperation in a way that serves common interests and improves the quality of healthcare services.
He noted that these efforts are part of the Ministry of Health’s initiatives to strengthen international cooperation and benefit from successful experiences, supporting the development of Yemen’s local health sector.
