The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources and Renaissance Makers Organization held a coordination meeting on Thursday to strengthen cooperation and accelerate the implementation of priority projects aimed at supporting rural livelihoods and addressing the challenges posed by climate change.
The meeting brought together Undersecretary for Irrigation and Land Reclamation Eng. Ahmed Al-Zamaki and representatives of the organization to review a range of proposed interventions, including the rehabilitation of irrigation networks, the provision of agricultural inputs to farmers, and initiatives to safeguard agricultural land while combating degradation and desertification.
Discussions focused on enhancing coordination in the collection and analysis of technical data and information to maximize the use of available funding and channel support toward irrigation infrastructure, water basin development and management, and the strengthening of institutional and community capacities.
