Yemen’s Ambassador to Japan Adel al-Sunaini discussed Tuesday with Japanese Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Takagi Kei ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
During the meeting, Ambassador al-Sunaini expressed the Yemeni government’s appreciation for the advanced level reached in bilateral relations and for the Japanese government’s continued support for the Presidential Leadership Council, the government, and the security, stability, and unity of Yemen.
The ambassador also reaffirmed Yemen’s commitment to strengthening cooperation and the strategic partnership with Japan, expressing hope for expanding support in line with the vision and efforts of the friendly Japanese government in supporting peace and stability in Yemen.
For his part, the Japanese parliamentarian reaffirmed Japan’s support for Yemen’s stability and unity, and its backing of the Presidential Leadership Council, the government, and the Yemeni people.
He also stressed Japan’s commitment to supporting Yemen in development and humanitarian fields, and renewed Japan’s support for peace efforts aimed at ending the suffering of the Yemeni people.
