Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Receives National Day Greetings from Russia and Japan

Chairman of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, received congratulatory messages from Russian President Vladimir Putin and Japanese Emperor Naruhito on the occasion of Yemen’s 36th National Day on May 22.

President Putin extended his best wishes for al-Alimi’s health and success, and expressed hope for the Yemeni people’s swift return to peace and stability.

He noted that Russian-Yemeni relations are built on longstanding friendship and mutual respect, and said advancing these ties serves shared interests and supports security and stability across the Gulf and Middle East.

Emperor Naruhito conveyed his warm congratulations to Chairman Al-Alimi and expressed sincere wishes for the happiness and continued prosperity of the Yemeni people.
