Minister of Information Muammar al-Eryani met Monday with the Libyan Ambassador to Yemen Idris Abu Bakr.
The meeting discussed the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, ways to strengthen joint cooperation in media fields, and a number of issues of mutual interest.
During the meeting, Minister al-Eryani received an official invitation to participate in the ministerial meeting of Arab Information Ministers, scheduled to be held in brotherly Libya next September.
He expressed his thanks and appreciation for the generous invitation and welcomed participation in this important event, which reflects Libya’s commitment to strengthening joint Arab media cooperation and coordinating positions on Arab issues.
Minister al-Eryani emphasized the deep fraternal and historical ties between the leaderships and peoples of Yemen and Libya, as well as the strong relations based on mutual respect and joint cooperation.
He also praised the positive role played by Ambassador Idris Abu Bakr and his efforts in enhancing bilateral relations and developing areas of cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
The minister pointed out to the importance of strengthening joint Arab media coordination in facing current challenges and exchanging expertise and experiences in a way that contributes to developing Arab media discourse and serving common Arab causes.
For his part, the Libyan ambassador affirmed his country’s keenness to strengthen relations with the Republic of Yemen and activate areas of joint cooperation in a manner that serves the interests of the two brotherly peoples.
He also stressed the importance of continued communication and coordination between media institutions in both countries.
