Member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Hadramout, Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, reviewed on Tuesday the performance and activities of the Industry and Trade Office in the Hadramout Coast.
During his meeting with the office’s director, Imad Al-Mashjari, Al-Khanbashi was briefed on workflow, efforts to enhance institutional performance, and measures to strengthen market oversight, including campaigns to curb violations and improve services provided to citizens. The briefing also covered key challenges and planned development initiatives for the next phase.
Al-Khanbashi underscored the vital role of the Industry and Trade Office in consumer protection and maintaining market stability, stressing the need to intensify monitoring of price fluctuations and take firm action against manipulation or unjustified price hikes.
He directed increased field inspections by regulatory teams and the Consumer Protection Committee, obligating traders to clearly display prices, enforcing legal measures against violators, and destroying expired goods to safeguard public health.
