Shabwah Governor Sheikh Awad Ibn al-Wazir discussed monday with Abdulrahman al-Sayari, the Director of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center branch in Marib Governorate, along with his assistant Mubarak al-Qahtani, ways to develop humanitarian work and strengthen mechanisms of joint coordination.
The meeting reviewed a number of humanitarian needs in key sectors, foremost among them food security, health services, shelter projects, as well as support for displaced families and the most vulnerable groups.
During the meeting, the governor stressed the importance of integrating efforts between the local authority and the center to improve the efficiency of humanitarian response and direct projects according to priority needs across the governorate’s districts.
He praised the center’s active role in supporting the governorate and continuing its relief, humanitarian, and development efforts there.
For his part, al-Sayari explained that the center is implementing several humanitarian programs and is giving special attention to expanding its interventions in Shabwah Governorate, helping to ease citizens’ suffering.
He also affirmed the center’s commitment to strengthening partnership with the local authority and achieving the highest levels of coordination to ensure aid reaches those who deserve it.
In another meeting, the Shabwah Governor praised a community initiative to establish the first dialysis center in al-Rawdah District.
The governor also confirmed, during his meeting with the project’s coordination and follow-up committee, attended by the Director General of the Governorate Health and Population Office, Dr. Ali al-Dhaib, his support for community initiatives in the health sector and other public sectors.
Meanwhile, al-Rawdah District Director General Ateq Habtour reviewed the components of the center project, which will serve around fourteen patients suffering from kidney failure in the district, in addition to patients from the neighboring Habban District.
