The Cabinet held its regular meeting Monday here chaired by Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Mohsen Zindani.
The meeting discussed the latest national developments, along with a number of reports and projects related to government performance in the security, economic and service sectors.
During the session, the Cabinet reviewed the level of implementation of its previous decisions.
The Prime Minister briefed members on political and economic developments, as well as the outcomes of the Crisis Management Committee meeting.
The Cabinet was also updated on the latest developments and the government’s efforts to enhance stability and development across the liberated governorates.
The Cabinet listened to two reports presented by Minister of Defense Major General Taher al-Aqili and Minister of Interior Major General Ibrahim Haidan on the military and security situation in the liberated governorates and the high level of readiness to confront various challenges.
The Cabinet approved a draft republican decree on the establishment of the Dhalea General Hospital Authority, aimed at creating a qualitative shift in the level of specialized healthcare and medical services provided to citizens in Dhalea Governorate and neighboring areas.
The move is also intended to reduce patients’ need to travel by equipping the authority with the necessary staff and equipment.
In the same context, the Cabinet approved a memorandum of understanding submitted by the Minister of Public Health and Population on joint regional health cooperation signed with the Republic of Djibouti, the Federal Republic of Somalia and the Republic of Sudan.
The Cabinet also discussed a report presented by the Minister of Interior on the establishment of an integrated digital and security system for human resources within the Ministry of Interior, aimed at modernizing administrative and security operations.
The Cabinet reviewed a report submitted by the Minister of Local Administration, Badr Basalma, on ways to enhance the efficiency of collecting shared public revenues and addressing imbalances associated with the collection process.
The Minister of Industry and Trade also presented a detailed report on supply and price conditions for the second half of 2025, affirming the stability of commodity stocks and the strengthening of oversight to protect consumers.
