Al-Subaihi emphasizes role of political parties in supporting state efforts, strengthening political stability

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Lieutenant General Mahmoud Salem al-Subaihi has affirmed the role of political parties in enhancing political stability, unifying the national front, supporting state efforts and backing the path of comprehensive reforms in economic and service sectors.

This came during his meeting Monday here with the Secretary-General of the Yemeni Socialist Party Dr. Abdulrahman al-Saqqaf to discuss a number of political, economic, and social issues facing the country amid the ongoing repercussions of the war ignited by the Houthi militias backed by the Iranian regime, and the challenges it has created on various levels.

He stressed importance of intensifying national efforts and unifying visions to confront these challenges, as well as strengthening state institutions and improving basic services.

The meeting also addressed the latest developments in the country and ways to support the government’s efforts in implementing economic reforms, enhancing economic stability, and advancing development.

It highlighted the necessity of unifying national efforts to confront current challenges and achieve stability and development in a way that alleviates citizens’ suffering and improves living and service conditions.

Lieutenant General Mahmoud al-Subaihi reiterated the Presidential Leadership Council’s commitment to strengthening partnership with various political parties and forces, considering them a fundamental pillar for supporting political stability and advancing comprehensive reform efforts, with a focus on social relief programs and sustainable development.

He also pointed to the prominent role played by the Yemeni Socialist Party in various national issues, describing it as a key partner in the path toward peacebuilding and defending national sovereignty. He called for enhancing its role in supporting national initiatives and actively contributing to economic reform efforts and service improvement.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Yemeni Socialist Party affirmed the party’s support for all efforts aimed at achieving peace, restoring state institutions, and strengthening stability in the country, praising the efforts of the Presidential Leadership Council in managing the current phase.

Al-Saqqaf also reaffirmed the party’s commitment to supporting the Council’s vision for achieving lasting peace and comprehensive development, noting that such meetings and consultations represent a positive step toward strengthening national unity, addressing shared challenges, and fulfilling the Yemeni people’s aspirations for security, stability, and development.
