Yemen, France discuss security cooperation

Minister of Interior Major General Ibrahim Haidan discussed today with the French Ambassador to Yemen Catherine Corm-Kammoun ways to enhance security cooperation between the two friendly countries.

The discussion focused on the areas of training and qualifying Ministry of Interior personnel, and developing the capabilities of forensic departments to combat cyber extortion crimes targeting women and children, in addition to strengthening cooperation in the field of coast guard operations.

The Minister of Interior praised the French government’s support for Yemen in security and technical aspects, affirming the ministry’s commitment to expanding areas of joint cooperation in a way that contributes to improving security performance efficiency.

For her part, the French Ambassador emphasized her country’s commitment to strengthening partnership with Yemen and continuing support for training and qualification programs, in a way that serves efforts to enhance security and stability.
