Minister of Finance Marwan Faraj bin Ghanem discussed on Monday, via video conference, with the European Union Ambassador to Yemen, Patrick Simonnet, the latest economic and financial developments and ways to support the government’s priorities during the current phase.
The meeting reviewed the technical support provided by the European Union to the government under the Yemen Economic Growth Enhancement Program implemented by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
The program included two workshops for the Ministry of Finance, the most recent of which was held in the Saudi Arabia as part of a peer-learning initiative. Discussions also addressed the internal and external challenges facing the government and the support required to overcome them and develop appropriate solutions.
