A meeting held Monday chaired by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation and Yemen’s Governor to the World Bank Dr. Afrah al-Zouba and attended by a high-level World Bank delegation led by the Bank’s Vice President for the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan Ousmane Dione discussed ways to enhance partnership and expand support across development, humanitarian, service, and economic sectors in the country.

The Minister of Local Administration Eng. Badr Baslama met today, Tuesday, discussed in the temporary capital Aden, with the Head of the Governance and Economic Recovery Team at the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Peter van de Boul.

They discussed mechanisms for economic and developmental empowerment of local authorities, building institutional capacities of administrative units and enhancing the developmental role of the governorates.

They also explored prospects for joint cooperation to carry out development programs and projects.
