The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) headed by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, held a joint meeting today, Monday, with the National Defense Council, (NDC) in the presence of all its members: Sultan al-Arada, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem al-Khanbashi.

The Member of Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Sultan al-Arada, confirmed that the challenges currently facing our country require joining national efforts and increasing regional and international support in order to contribute toward restoring the state institutions, achieving stability and alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people.

His comment came during his talks today, Monday, with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Yemen Jennette Seppen.

The conversations covered bilateral relations, developments in our country and the Netherlands' developmental and humanitarian interventions.

Al-Arada restated that the PLC and the government are keenly seeking to further boost cooperation relations with the Kingdom of the Netherlands and to expand the horizons of partnership in a way that serves common interests and supports efforts to restore state institutions and consolidate security and stability.

He also confirmed that the political leadership is committed to achieve fair and comprehensive peace according to the main references for peace.

The Dutch Ambassador confirmed her country's continued support for Yemen in humanitarian and development fields.
She stated that she is keen to continue coordination with the Yemeni government to support peace efforts and ease the suffering of the Yemeni people.
