Presidential Decree on Appointments in First Military Region Issued

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces issued Wednesday Decree No. (40) of 2026 regarding appointments in the leadership of the First Military Region.

Article (1) of the decrer stipulates the appointment of the following officers to the leadership positions indicated next to their names, as follows:

* Brigadier General Fahd Salem Issa Salem Bamoumin is appointed Commander of the First Military Region and promoted to the rank of Major General.

* Brigadier General Amer Abdullah Abdullah Mohammed bin Hatyan is appointed Chief of Staff of the First Military Region.

* Brigadier General Mohammed Omar Awadh Saleh Ali bin Ghanem is appointed Head of Operations of the First Military Region.

Article (2) states that the decision shall come into effect from the date of its issuance and is published in the Official Gazette and military bulletins.
