The Republic of Yemen, represented by the Yemen Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control Organization (YSMO), has participated in the 61st meeting of the Arab Higher Committee for Standardization, held here.
The meeting was attended by the Director General of the Yemen Standards Authority and member of the Arab Higher Committee for Standardization, Eng. Hadid al-Mas.
The Discussions covered a number of topics, including follow-up on the implementation of the recommendations of the 60th meeting of the Committee, preparation and updating of unified Arab standard specifications, development of electronic standards platforms, discussion of the Arab Halal Program, the Arab Quality Award, and coordination of the unified Arab position in international meetings and forums.
The meeting concluded with recommendations and decisions aimed at unifying Arab standards and developing strategies within the framework of joint Arab cooperation in the fields of standardization, metrology, conformity, and quality.
These efforts seek to strengthen Arab industrial integration and elevate the Arab standardization system in a way that supports common Arab markets and ensures the circulation of products that meet quality, performance, and safety standards.
