NEW DELHI-SABA
The second meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of India and the Arab countries restated its firm commitment to the unity of the Republic of Yemen, its sovereignty, independence and the integrity of its territory, affirming its outright rejection of any interference in its internal affairs, condemning all actions aimed at undermining Yemen's security or affecting its territorial unity.
The Arab and Indian Foreign Ministers also confirmed in their final statement (the New Delhi Declaration) their full support for the Presidential Leadership Council, the Yemeni government and the efforts of the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy to Yemen, to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable peace in accordance with the agreed-upon frameworks.
The New Delhi statement condemned the attacks carried out by the Houthi militias on maritime navigation, emphasizing that protecting the vital Bab el-Mandeb Strait and the southern Red Sea is not only an Arab and regional responsibility, but a shared international responsibility and a global interest.
The statement also warned against any attempts that could undermine stability in the Gulf of Aden, the Arabian Sea, and the Indian Ocean.
