A senior government source confirmed ongoing intensive consultations led by Prime Minister Shaya Zindani to form a new competence government, capable of meeting the exceptional stage requirements and responding to citizens' aspirations to restore state institutions' effectiveness and improve overall performance.
The consultations are expected to be completed in the coming days.
The source said that the consultations focus on selecting a cohesive government team capable of working with national responsibility, enhancing national partnership, and ensuring representation reflecting efficiency, experience, and delivery capability.
The selection process, guided by President Rashad al-Alimi, is based on clear criteria including integrity, professional competence, and clean administrative record.
The consultations aim to form a government capable of making bold decisions, bearing the stage's burdens, and working closely with the Presidential Leadership Council and local authorities to enhance stability and restore trust between the state and society.
