Government Welcomes Announcement of Peace Council

The Yemeni government has welcomed the announcement by U.S. President Donald Trump on the establishment of a Peace Council, the launch of the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, and the commencement of duties by the Palestinian National Committee to administer the Gaza Strip.

In a statement issued on Thursday, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the government described the move as an important step toward consolidating the ceasefire and creating the conditions for a political process that would lead to ending the suffering of the Palestinian people.

The government reaffirmed its full support for all serious international efforts aimed at halting the aggression, ensuring the unimpeded flow of humanitarian assistance.
