Masam Project Removes 3,166 Landmines from Yemeni Territory in February
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre’s project for clearing Yemeni lands of mines (Masam) has succeeded in removing 3,166 landmines from various regions of Yemen during the first week of February 2026.

Al-Mahrami: We highly appreciate Germany's support for Yemen

RIYADH - SABA
The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Abdulrahman al-Mahrami met today, Tuesday, with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Yemen Thomas Friedrich.

They conferred over Yemeni-German relations and the developments in the Yemeni national arena.

The talks covered the needed German and European interventions to support the government's ongoing reform process and efforts aimed to establish security and stability as well as to alleviate the Yemeni people humanitarian suffering created by the Houthi terrorist militia.

Al-Mahrami deeply appreciated Germany's significant contribution to the relief and humanitarian efforts in Yemen, as the Federal republic of Germany is one of the largest donors to the humanitarian response plan in Yemen.

"We greatly valued Germany's constant support for the Yemeni", al-Maharami said.
The underway preparations for the South-South Dialogue in Riyadh were also discussed.

Al-Mahrami invited Mr. Friedrich to attend the planned south-south dialogue as Germany is key supporter for the peace process in Yemen.

The German Ambassador stated that Berlin is interested in sustaining all efforts aimed to establish stability, ease humanitarian suffering in Yemen.

He also affirmed that Germany will continue to contribute to the humanitarian and development actions in Yemen.
