Member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Hadhramaut, Salem Al-Khanbashi, reviewed the progress of the restoration project of the western pavilion of the Mukalla Museum (Al-Qu'aiti Sultan's Palace) in Mukalla city, funded by the European Union.
During his meeting with the Director General of the General Authority for Antiquities and Museums in Hadhramaut Coast, Riyadh Bakromum, Al-Khanbashi was briefed on the plan to revive the palace's spaces and re-functionalize them after restoration, expanding the current museum and aligning with the Hadhramaut Great Museum project vision.
The project includes creating permanent and temporary exhibition halls, cultural and artistic activity spaces, and a museum library housing the Sultanate archives and rare Hadhramaut books and publications, preserving historical memory and supporting research.
