President al-Alimi Declares Military Operations to Restore State Institutions, Take Control Over Entire National Territory

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) and Commander –in-Chief of the Armed Forces, announced today, Sunday, the start of military operations to regain the remaining lands of the republic, which are under the militias control, and to extend state authority and its institutions over the entire national territory, affirming the shift from the preparation and preparedness phase to the liberation phase after exhausting all chances for calm.

The Prime Minister Dr. Shaya Zindani met today, Monday, with American Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Steven Fagin.

They discussed Yemeni-American bilateral cooperation and the developments on the Yemeni national arena.

The conversations also touched on the top priorities of the government in the upcoming stage, namely improving basic services, ensuring regular pay of the salaries of the government's employees, improving living conditions and addressing economic and financial irregularities.

Dr. Zindani highlighted the need for the international partners' support to help the government executing the needed economic reforms.

The American Ambassador confirmed his administration's support for the government's efforts to enable it to manage challenges and establish stability.
