Dr. Abdullah Bawazir confers with British Ambassador over developments in Yemen

RIYADH-SABA
The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Dr. Abdullah Bawazir met today, Monday, with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom (UK) to the Republic of Yemen Abda Sharifal-Alimi.

They discussed Yemen-British bilateral cooperation, the developments on the Yemeni national arena and the ongoing efforts to establish stability in the government-held regions.

The political, security and economic developments as well as the underway efforts to normalize the situations in the government-held governorates were elaborately discussed.

The South dialogue conference sponsored by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was also touched on.
Dr. Bawazir highly praised the UK's helpful role in supporting the internationally recognized Yemeni government and leadership and peace efforts, deeply appreciated London's significant contribution to humanitarian and development actions.

The British Ambassador stated that the UK is keen to to continue cooperation with the PLC and the Yemeni government and to support efforts aimed at enhancing political, economic and security stability.

Sharif confirmed the UK's commitment to supporting Yemen's unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as to working with regional and international partners to support the peace process.
