Prime Minister Receives Turkish Ambassador

Prime Minister Salem bin Breik received on Thursday the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Yemen, Amrullah İşler.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral cooperation relations between the two brotherly countries, prospects for their development, and ways to strengthen partnership across various fields.

The meeting addressed the latest developments in the local situation led by recent developments in the eastern governorates, as well as the government’s efforts to normalize conditions and consolidate the foundations of security and stability, in accordance with the directives of the Presidential Leadership Council and with the support of brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, while ensuring the continued provision of basic services to citizens.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister reviewed the measures being taken by the government, in coordination with local authorities and relevant agencies, to address the repercussions of recent events, contain any security imbalances, protect public and private property and hold accountable those involved in any unlawful acts, in a way that ensures state sovereignty and the prestige of its institutions and preserves social peace.

He emphasized that the government, stemming from its constitutional and national responsibilities, is pursuing a comprehensive approach that combines security, administrative, and service-related measures, taking into account the specific circumstances of each governorate, responding to the legitimate demands of citizens, and preventing the exploitation of conditions by any parties seeking to disrupt the overall scene.

The Prime Minister pointed out the government’s keenness to enhance partnership with the international community and with brotherly and friendly countries led by the Republic of Turky to support the efforts of the state and government during this exceptional phase, back the path toward stability, improve humanitarian and service conditions, and support state institutions in a manner that enables them to perform their duties effectively.

For his part, the Turkish Ambassador renewed his country’s firm position in support of Yemen’s unity, security and stability, and Turky's standing alongside the Yemeni government in its efforts to overcome current challenges, enhance security and stability and improve citizens’ living conditions.

He expressed his country’s readiness to continue coordination and cooperation with the Yemeni government and to provide possible support in priority areas, contributing to stability and development and strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
