Saudi Cabinet Reaffirms Support for President al-Alimi’s Call for Southern Yemen Conference

RIYADH – SABA
The Saudi Council of Ministers has renewed the Kingdom’s welcome of President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi’s request to host an inclusive conference in Riyadh for all southern Yemeni components. The goal of the proposed gathering is to develop a fair and comprehensive framework for addressing the southern issue in a manner that meets the legitimate aspirations of the southern population.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the affirmation came during a Cabinet session chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The Cabinet also reviewed the latest developments in the region and the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to support the security, stability, and unity of the Republic of Yemen, as well as to facilitate dialogue among all Yemeni parties.
