A meeting held Monday chaired by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation and Yemen’s Governor to the World Bank Dr. Afrah al-Zouba and attended by a high-level World Bank delegation led by the Bank’s Vice President for the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan Ousmane Dione discussed ways to enhance partnership and expand support across development, humanitarian, service, and economic sectors in the country.

BAB AL-MANDAB – SABA
A joint security campaign thwarted an attempt to smuggle a boat carrying a large quantity of narcotics off the coast of Bab al-Mandab, with four smugglers on board.
The Coast Guard Authority stated that the campaign seized the boat, which contained approximately a quarter of a ton of narcotic substances, including 85 packages of crystal meth and 119 bags of hashish.
It confirmed that the suspects were arrested and placed in detention pending the case, the seized items were secured, the necessary legal procedures were taken against them, and the case was referred to the competent authorities.
